RDA UPDATES ON AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES COMPLEX AND FARMERS’ RESERVOIR PROJECTS

The Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) recently provided an update on 2 of its major undertakings this year, the Agriculture and Fisheries Complex and the Farmers’ Reservoir.

According to the RDA, these projects are “making strides in the planning phase” as Geotechnical Surveys at both sites are well underway.

Providing some insight into what is taking place the RDA described the survey as a process of “testing the soil’s consistency and structure, examining groundwater levels, and offering recommendations for technical projects based on the findings”.

Objectives of the ongoing exercises include assessing the suitability of the selected sites for the proposed construction projects, creating recommendations for the foundation design and construction techniques to be used, and identifying potential geotechnical hazards or challenges that may impact the project.

The results of the survey will be integral to the transition into the next project phase.

The RDA has promised continued updates as both projects proceed.
