The BVI Electricity Corporation has announced that there will be a power outage affecting several areas on Tortola today from 12 pm to 1 pm.
The utility company stated that the temporary disruption in service is necessary as part of ongoing efforts to replace a blown transformer on the Long Swamp Ridge feeder.
The outage is expected to impact portions of Old Plantation, Greenland, Little Dix Hill, Hope Hill, Spring Ghut, and Nottingham Estate.
The corporation apologized for any inconvenience the planned outage may cause and asked for the public’s understanding as its crew works to restore full service to the impacted communities.
