Grammy award-winning audio engineer Donelle Smith, the first BVIslander to win a Grammy Award, has been honored with a new billboard erected in Road Town.
Motorists and Pedestrians on Waterfront Drive can catch a glimpse of the billboard, celebrating Smith’s accomplishment which resulted from his work on the soundtrack of the record-breaking “Barbie” movie featuring actress Margot Robbie.
Smith welcomed the news and thanked those responsible in a Facebook post.
“I’m grateful to do what I love but to also inspire and motivate others to never give up on their goals/dreams. Thank you Craig Lake for organizing this and thank you Shawdey Foreman for the incredible design. Words alone can’t begin to explain this feeling. This is Gods work I’m simply the vessel”, Smith said.
