284 MEDIA AND DDM LAUNCH HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS PSA VIDEO SERIES

Just in time for the predicted high activity of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, 284 Media and the Department of Disaster Management have joined forces to produce a series of public service announcement (PSA) videos focused on hurricane preparedness.

The three short videos follow a family and their neighbours as they take important steps to get ready for the hurricane season. The relatable videos capture key preparedness topics in an easily digestible way for all ages.

“We are grateful for the partnership with 284Media, especially with doing these types of PSAs where it is inclusive with children and shows various aspects of home life, and how people can prepare for the hurricane season”, said Director of the Department of Disaster Management Jason Penn. “284 Media’s creative approach makes these preparedness messages engaging and accessible.”

The hurricane preparedness PSA videos will premiere tonight, May 15th  at 7:30 pm during a special programme airing across all of 284 Media’s platforms.

“284 Media is proud to partner with the Department of Disaster Management on this important community initiative,” said Birch Lettsome, Media Manager at 284 Media. “As a local media company, we have a responsibility to leverage our platforms to share critical information that could potentially save lives.”

284 Media extends special thanks to the director and staff of the Department of Disaster Management, the production crew, Treasure Isle Hotel, and Nicoy Hendrickson for their contributions to making this PSA series possible.

The public is encouraged to tune in tonight at 7:30 pm to watch the full PSA series and learn valuable hurricane preparedness tips for the 2024 season.
