RVIPF SEEKING INFORMATION FOLLOWING ATTEMPTED MURDER

Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force responded to reports of a shooting on John’s Hole, Road Town, after 9 pm on Friday, March 22nd, 2024.

One male individual sustained serious injuries and was transported to Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The RVIPF urges the public to come forward with any information pertaining to the incident. Individuals are encouraged to reach out confidentially via the Crime Stoppers line at 800-8477 (TIPS) or, if overseas, at 1-284-800-8477. Alternatively, you can contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

Regardless of how seemingly insignificant, every piece of information could be pivotal in advancing the ongoing investigation.

MALE INJURED IN FRIDAY NIGHT SHOOTING INCIDENT

A shooting incident this evening Friday March 22nd, after 9pm has left one male injured. The shooting took place in the vicinity of the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola. In an official release Police stated, “The RVIPF can confirm a shooting incident a short while ago on Station Road, in the vicinity of the Multipurpose Sports Complex. So far, one person has been reported injured and was rushed to Dr. Orlando Hospital. Officers are currently on the scene.”
