Rapid efforts are underway to capture wanted criminal Trinidadian Small Brent for the murder of Nyron Errickson and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force said they have reason to believe that Small Brent may attempt to flee the Territory by sea.
Police in a news release last Saturday stated that they are continuing efforts to locate and arrest John Emmanuel, also known as Brent Danglade or “Small Brent.”
Officers are therefore urgently appealing to the public to assist them in these efforts and residents with visibility of coastal areas from their homes are advised to monitor for unusual small vessel activity.
RVIPF emphasized that Boaters, mariners, and individuals working or living near jetties, docks, or mooring locations should immediately report suspicious behaviour or events to the police.
Police continue to stress that anyone found aiding this suspect will face severe criminal penalties.
Members of the public with any information on his whereabouts are urged to contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-8477 or overseas at 800-8477. You may also call the emergency line 911 or RVIPF’s non-emergency number, 311
Meanwhile Police are still trying to determine how John Emmanuel/Small Brent was able to get into the territory.
During a Police Press Conference last Friday, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Kenrick Davis said that some of the information about Emmanuel was not known to the RVIPF until certain measures were explored.
He is also said to be wanted in his homeland of Trinidad and Tobago, however Davis was not able to say definitively that is the case.

Due to the active nature of the investigation, officials were limited in details but assured the public that updates would follow once information is verified.
The issue of potential reprisals was also raised during the session, prompting firm reassurances from law enforcement.

Superintendent Rock confirmed the force is prepared to handle any retaliatory violence or unrest, stating the situation is being monitored closely.
Concerns were also expressed regarding the flight risk of the suspect and how border control is responding to prevent escape or unauthorized entry.
