The man wanted by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force in connection with the 2025 murder of Nyron Erickson has now surfaced in a major murder investigation in Sint Maarten.
Authorities in Sint Maarten have identified the suspected shooter in a March 2, 2026 double homicide as John Dawn Emmanuel, also known as Brent Dain Danglade or Small Brent.
This is the first confirmed public indication of Emmanuel’s whereabouts since he is alleged to have fled Tortola following Erickson’s murder in May, 2025.
In a wanted notice issued this week, the Sint Maarten Police Force said Emmanuel is wanted in connection with the deaths of Damien Sylvester, originally from Trinidad, and Denisha Delancy of the United States.
Investigators described the killings as a targeted and “cold-blooded” attack aimed at Sylvester, while Delancy was reportedly caught in the crossfire.
Authorities say one suspect is already in pre-trial detention on charges of complicity, but Emmanuel remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
Police in Sint Maarten also confirmed that the suspect frequently changes his appearance and is known to use multiple identities, including Brent Dain Danglade and John Dawn Emmanuel. Investigators further revealed that he has a distinctive elongated tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.
Back in 2025, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force warned the public that Emmanuel was considered extremely dangerous and linked to serious crimes across the Caribbean, including kidnapping, extortion, and multiple murders in Trinidad and Tobago and elsewhere in the region.
