Youth across the Territory will have an opportunity to interact and share their goals and aspirations with each other in an empowerment session next month.
The Youth Empowerment Session will be hosted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports’ DYAS VOICE via WebEx on Wednesday, May 6 at 3:00 p.m.
Youth Programme Officer, Desiree Flanders-Harrigan said, “Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the department decided to host a Youth Empowerment Session to get youth to interact and share their goals and aspirations.“
“Additionally, we know that things will not get back to the way we know it anytime soon, so it is our mandate to organise sessions like this and other activities to keep youth engaged,” Mrs. Flanders-Harrigan said.
The goal is to help young people in the community to work towards ways of fulfilling their vision, which is the topic of the session.
The event will he held under the theme, “Fulfilling Your Vision” and will also feature Jovan Cline of RISE BVI. Persons interested in registering for the session are asked to contact the department at 468-9885.
