PAY IT FORWARD – IN HONOR OF RAEQUAN MAKHAIL ROBERTS

Raequan Roberts was a focused young BVIslander with a promising future when he tragically lost his life a year ago.

While he may have departed the earth, his mother Marsha Wheatley is now ensuring that his legacy continues to impact our community in a positive way.

Last Friday, to mark what would have been his 23rd birthday, his family decided to pay it forward by making a stirring donation to the Rainbow Children’s home in honor of his memory.

His mother, Marsha Wheatley said “Raequan was unable to complete his Computer Engineering and Technology degree due to a tragic car accident that took his life on 5 August 2019.  In his short life, Raequan touched the lives and warmed the hearts of many – he was a true blessing – a light in a world of darkness. “

“Today, on his 23rd birthday, we have united to let his light continue to shine by blessing someone else and to PAY IT FORWARD by giving the children of the Rainbow Children’s Home a better opportunity to excel.”

The children of the home were presented with a computer, printer and computer accessories to aid in their everyday activities.

The effort was made possible by his mother, Marsha Wheatley, his sister Brijhana Wheatley and Honorable Sharie DeCastro, his former teacher and friend.

Quite a remarkable way to honour his legacy.

Our thoughts and continued prayers are with the family.
