B.V.I & OTHER CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES LISTED ON UK’S QUARANTINE EXEMPTION LIST

The United Kingdom Government announced that 73 countries will be allowed to travel, quarantine-free to England, United Kingdom, commencing 10th July 2020.

The British Virgin Islands was on the list of the countries and territories to be exempted from the UK’s mandatory 14 day-quarantine period upon arrival into England.

The following countries were listed on the UK government’s official website of the countries and territories exempted from the 14-day self-isolation period.

  • Croatia

  • Cyprus

  • Faroe Islands
  • Fiji
  • Finland
  • France
  • French Polynesia
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Greenland
  • Grenada
  • Guadeloupe
  • Hong Kong
  • Hungary
  • Iceland
  • Italy
  • Jamaica
  • Japan
  • Liechtenstein
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Macao (Macau)
  • Malta
  • Mauritius
  • Monaco

The notice also stated that, although not included in the list, all 14 British Territories are also exempted.

Any traveler traveling from these countries, do not have to self-isolate on arrival in England, if these are the only places the travelers have been to or stopped in during the previous 14 days.

However, persons must be aware that if persons transit through any country that is not listed on the exemption list, persons will have to then self-isolate upon arrival.

Notably, The United States have not been included on the UK exemption list.

Before traveler’s arrive in the UK, they must complete passenger locator form 48 hours before their arrival. This form which will then be presented upon arrival in England. This process applies to both UK residents and visitors.
