ANOUNCEMENT ON RESUMPTION OF VISITS AT HER MAJESTY’S PRISON

The Ministry of Health and Social Development and Her Majesty’s Prison would like to inform the public that visits to the Prison will officially resume from Monday, July 13th, 2020. Visits days are Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. All visits to the facility will be done by appointment only and must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the visit.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Her Majesty’s Prison has taken steps to ensure that health and safety measures are being observed. As such, no more than two persons will be permitted to visit an inmate at a time. Additionally, all visitors are advised that they must wear a face mask when visiting the prison. Upon arrival, all visitors will have their temperature checked by the Gate Officer with an infrared thermometer. Persons who register a temperature above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, who have a persistent cough or sneeze or who exhibit any flu-like symptoms, will not be permitted to enter the facility. All visitors must present a valid picture I.D. upon arrival.

Visitors are asked to abide by all procedures governing the Prison as part of its COVID-19 Visits Policy.

All Churches are advised that church visits to the prison will resume on Sunday, July 12th, 2020. Churches will maintain their regular days and times of service at the prison.
