RYMER LAUNCHES DISTRICT 5 POLITICAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

In a recent Facebook post, Minister for Transportation, Works, Utilities and 5th District representative, Hon. Kye Rymer announced the official launch of his District 5, Political Internship program.

The program is geared towards giving interested high school students an opportunity to shadow Minister Rymer and gain a deeper understanding of the role of the District Representative, as well as his duties and responsibilities in his respected ministry.

The minister stated:

“I am proud to have launched our 5th District Political Internship.

A platform where young, eager minds are enlightened with a hands on approach to the demanding but fulfilling job of a politician and role in government.

Today I acknowledge my 1st Honourable Shadow Minister Ms Rhianna Hodge, job well done!

You’ve worked alongside my team and I for a few weeks and you were able to interact, ask questions and be a part of many Ministerial affairs.  I hope this experience is one that has given you greater insight, interest and understanding of the important role our political leaders play in our territory.

We must never be too busy to guide and mentor the next generation of great minds and leaders. Let’s all be a positive force for the future.

So, Bringing District 5 Alive is more than just a campaign slogan, it is a CALL TO ACTION.

We look forward to welcoming our next 5th District high schooler.”
