JOINT TASK FORCE CONDUCTS RAID ; TWO INDIVIDUALS IN THE CUSTODY OF IMMIGRATION

Reports reaching our newsroom stated that, in the early hours of the morning, a Joint Task Force conducted a raid of the Bettito Frett Building in Road Town.

This Joint Task Force is comprised of officers from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), Immigration Department and the Customs Department.

These reports were subsequently confirmed by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force’s spokeswoman.

She said “I can confirm that the joint task force conducted an operation at the Bettito Frett Building in Road Town on Sunday September 6th, to ascertain the immigration status of residents there.”

It was also confirmed that two (2) individuals were taken into custody by the Immigration Department.
