THREE ASSAILANTS WANTED BY THE POLICE AFTER ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING IN VIRGIN GORDA

On Friday, September 18, 2020, during afternoon hours, armed men entered the home of a Virgin Gorda resident.

The assailants strap tied the victim and his family, demanded money and valuables. The masked men later fled the scene before the arrival of the officers leaving the family unharmed.

This was confirmed by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force in a press released this evening.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in helping to identify three masked men.

Persons with information that can lead to the identification of the suspects involved can contact the emergency number 911 or RVIPF’s non-emergency line 311. All information will be treated with discretion and confidentiality will be assured.

Rift between brothers turns violent

In an unrelated matter, Police are conducting investigations into an incident which occurred in East End between two brothers, resulting in one brother being transported to Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital with serious injuries. It was reported that the injuries were inflicted by a machete.

It is uncertain as to the reason for the altercation; however, the attacker is presently in police custody.
