BVI POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN FOUR UNSOLVED MURDERS

Detectives from the Major Crime Investigations Team are seeking your assistance in identifying the perpetrator/s responsible for the murders of 23 year old Melissa Spence,native of Trinidad; Kendoy Penn of Old Plantation; 46 year old Julio Pineda Ceasor of Greenland; and  Nyron Olliverre, native of Trinidad.

The details are that:

1. On the 21st of September 2004, around 11:00am a construction worker working on a house at Little Bay observed a human body being thrown against the rock at the said bay by waves. The police were contacted and with the assistance of VISAR recovered the body of Trinidad national Melissa Spence with several stab wounds to the body. 

2. On the 18th of September 2005, around 1:00am, the victim, Kendoy Penn, was on his way home, driving his vehicle, when an unknown person fired several shots at him which made contact. The victim received life threatening injuries and was then transported by ambulance to the then Peebles hospital where he was treated for gunshot wounds. He remained at the said hospital on life support until the 22nd of September 2005 where he succumbed to his injuries. 

3. On the 10th of September 2017, around 2:30pm the victim, Julio Pineda Ceasor,was at his Greenland home with his family when mask men entered his residence making certain demands. The gun men then shot the victim and left the residence. He was subsequently taken to Dr D Orlando Smith hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.  

4. On the 12th of September 2014, around 11:15pm the victim, Nyron Olliverre, arrived at his Horse Path residence driving his vehicle when an unknown person fired several shots at him. The victim immediately succumbed to his injuries.  

September 2020 marks the 16th, 15th, 3rd, and 6thyear anniversary respectively, of these currently undetected attacks. Detectives of the said unit are still hopeful that members of the community may have crucial information, to assist in identifying those responsible for this senseless murder, to bring some closure to the grieving families.
