TWO LOADED FIREARMS TAKEN OFF THE STREETS

At 11:50am on Friday, October 2nd, officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force stopped and searched a male acting suspiciously, who smelled strongly of cannabis, at the Road Town Ferry Terminal.

The male, T’Quan Bodkin, 19 of Huntums Ghut was found to have a loaded firearm in his possession. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Road Town Police Station and was later charged with carrying an unlicensed firearm and will appear before the Magistrate on the next available court date.

Meanwhile in a separate incident, At 4:40pm Saturday, October 3rd, officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, while on patrol in Trellis Bay, Beef Island observed a male who was behaving suspiciously whilst carrying a bag.

The male, Kenaz Hazel, 24 of Purcell Estate was stopped and searched. A loaded firearm was found in the bag and on his person ammunition. He was arrested and brought to Road Town Police Station and has since been charged with carrying an unlicensed firearm and will appear before the Magistrate on the next available court date.
