ONE NEW CASE OF COVID-19 CONFIRMED IN THE BVI

Based on new epidemiological records, another case of COVID-19 has been recorded in the British Virgin Islands.

Minister of Health, Hon. Carvin Malone told 284 news today that the new case was someone who repatriated back to the BVI.

Honorable Malone said it was a “returning resident, tested while in quarantine”.

To date the territory has recorded (73) confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of that toll, there has been a record recovery of (71) cases, 1 death and now, 1 active case.

The recent confirmation comes a few days before the territory officially reopens for international travel on December 1st, 2020.
