The RVIPF Major Crime Team charged an additional female over the weekend in connection to the robbery that resulted in the death of Catherine Pickering on April 18th, 2020.
Charged was Teffiny Smith, 18, of Zion Hill for aiding offenders in the incident. Tyann Smith, 20 of Freshwater Pond was previously charged for the same offence. The two was granted bail until their appearances before the Magistrate’s Court on May 6.
Last Wednesday, Akeem Hopkinson, 22, and Shameek Grant, 28, both of Zion Hill were charged with murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and jointly charged with Shermar Richardson for robbery in the same incident. Richardson, 24, of Gene Hill was previously charged with robbery.
All three had appeared before the Magistrate’s Court last week and were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
