GOVERNMENT SEEKS ASSISTANCE OF EMPLOYEES IN THE ASSESSING OF THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON BVI’S WORKFORCE CONTINUES

The Government of the Virgin Islands Virgin Islands continues to assess the impact of COVID-19 on businesses and employees and is requesting a detailed Workforce Assessment from employers in the Territory.

Employers are to submit the assessment regarding the status of their businesses and employees to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development for the period March 2020 to May 2021.

The assessment will be ongoing periodically and the Government anticipates full compliance from employers throughout this process. Failure to comply may result in work permit applications not being processed efficiently.

The Workforce Assessment form is available on the Government’s website: www.bvi.gov.vg (https://bvi.gov.vg/content/workforce-assessment). Completed assessments should be emailed to labour@gov.vg or workforce@gov.vg as soon as possible in unencrypted, Excel format.

The department can be contacted at 468-4707, or 468-4708 for further information.
