On the 26 June 2021, Lions, Leo’s and guests gathered at Village Cafe and Restaurant to host the annual installation Ceremony. Ms. LoriJean Stevens was installed as the 30th President of the well-established Club, along with the executive board. The installation ceremony was conducted by Lion Carvin Malone, MJF of the Tortola Lions Club.

Immediate past President Sharlene in her remarks thanked the board and the Club for the past year successes which included fundraisers, the donation of a laptop to a student to assist in online classes, a month of activities in October to support breast cancer which culminated in a panel discussion with survivors and the donation of 10 mammogram checks to persons present, the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, beautification project at the Bregado Flax Educational Centre and baskets of love to our seniors. She also pledged her full support to the new board and president. President Stevens highlighted that Whilst there may be challenges ahead given the ongoing pandemic, we have to be creative and innovative to continue our work but pledged to continue serving our community through kindness.
Additionally, we were able to add two new Lions (Natasha Marshall and Emily Ann Matthias) and a Leo to our Pride.
The Club is a member of the largest service organization in the world, Lions International, with over 1.4 million members in over 48,00 clubs serving 200 countries under the motto ‘We Serve’. We meet on every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
