CCT and 284 Media on Monday August 2nd held a virtual Rise and Shine tramp showing casing Virgin Culture and Heritage.
The virtual event took off at 5am and last until 8am on CCT BVI Facebook page. Hundreds of Virgin Islanders tuned in to see performances by Xtreme Band, CCT Ambassadors “The Association” and Mr. Walkie.
The thrilling event encompassed Virgin Islands Heritage as performers celebrated the territory’s Emancipation Celebration in true Virgin Islands style.
Marketing Manager of CCT Mr. Recaldo Richardson said, “It was important for CCT to host this event as Festival is truly dear to us. We believe that despite the challenging times, it is imperative that we showcase Virgin Islands history and heritage and this was CCT’s ways of engaging its customers and lifting their spirits during these tough times.”
CEO of CCT Mr. Averad Penn said, “Our Emancipation Celebrations are truly important to us as a territory. CCT continues to engage its customers and we are proud to have been able to celebrate our Emancipation despite the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of a Virtual Rise and Shine Tramp. We will get through this together.”
