The Ministry of Education has announced collection dates and times for Chromebook devices which were loaned to students from the sister islands of Virgin Gorda and Anegada during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.
The ministry made the announcement via two separate bulletins, both dated on Tuesday August 17.
“The public is notified that officers from the Ministry of Education Accounts and ICT units will be visiting Virgin Gorda on Wednesday, August 25 to Friday, August 27 to collect all Chromebook and laptop loaned for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school year from all public schools on the island (Robinson O’Neal, Bregado Flax Primary and Bregado Flax Secondary),” the ministry stated.
Those devices on Virgin Gorda will be collected at the Bregado Flax Educational Centre from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.
The ministry also said that payments and distribution of digital textbooks and Chromebook or Laptop loans for the 2021-2022 school year will also be carried out daily.
Anegada dates and times
Meanwhile, parents and students on Anegada were notified that officials from the ministry will be visiting the sister island on Friday, September 3 to collect all Chromebooks and laptops loaned to students for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.
These devices will be collected at the Claudia Creque Educational Centre from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In addition, payment and distribution of digital textbooks and Chromebook or Laptop loans for 2021-2022 school year will also be done on that day.
