The British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) is informing the public that the Iris Penn Smith Clinic was closed on 12th December and will remain closed until 31st January, 2022. During this closure all services in the eastern area will be offered at the Rosalind Penn Health Center in Long Look.
BVIHSA has closed the Iris Penn Smith Clinic for two reasons, one – to carry out deep cleaning and environmental assessment of the facility; and secondly to cope with staff shortage. The second reason is due to the fact that the BVIHSA is currently low on staff and is therefore having difficulties keeping both clinics open.
By the opening date BVIHSA expects to have the staff situation sorted and the facility cleaned and ready to serve.
