500+ RESIDENTS IN THE EAST END COMMUNITY BENEFITED FROM A RECENT RVIPF CHRISTMAS INITIATIVE

More than 500 residents recently benefited from a Christmas initiative which was hosted at the East End Police Station by officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force.

According to the RVIPF, the East End Police Station was the place to be on Tuesday December 21 thanks to community and corporate sponsors which they said wrapped Christmas in a bow for the district.

“Over the course of the seven-hour event, well over 500 people came to the station’s parking lot. Many hearts and stomachs were filled with food and drinks as the Shooting Stars Steel Band, along with Sergeants Tommy Daniel and Collis Fraser entertained,” the RVIPF stated.

“Children of all ages received Christmas presents, got their faces painted and played on the bouncy castles,” the police further said.

The local law enforcement agency said they will continue their efforts to connect with the community territory-wide and bridge the gap between police and the community through various outreach events and programmes.

The police also said that such programmes are achievable through support and donations from local businesses and the community at large.
