Amidst the increase of prices in fuel and goods both globally and locally, the government of the Virgin Islands has launched a task force to investigate various businesses to ensure price gouging isn’t occurring in the territory.
This was announced by Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew Fahie during special press briefing on Sunday March 13.
He said the task force which will include officials from Customs and the Department of Trade will be monitoring prices and moving swiftly to address any business that have increased their prices unjustifiably.
