PORTS AUTHORITY TO ADDRESS DAMAGED DOCK ON JVD

Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew Fahie has said that the BVI Ports Authority is working behind the scenes to have the damaged area to the dingy section of the main dock on Jost Van Dyke repaired as soon as possible.

The premier was responding to questions posed by 284News during a recent press conference.

During a recent trip to the sister island of Jost Van Dyke, the business pair of Mr. and Mrs. Alibaba raised the issue of the damaged dingy section of the main dock, opposition the Albert Chinnery Administration Building.

According to the couple, at the time of the interview in mid-February, the area of the dock had been damaged for approximately one month and they feared that if the area wasn’t repaired as soon as possible, that someone may fall victim by getting hurt.

Following the news of the damaged dock, 284News reached out to Premier Fahie to find out if he was aware of the situation at the dock and whether there were any plans by his government to address the matter.

Premier Fahie who is responsible for Ports said he was aware of the situation and assured that the relevant authorities were working to address the matter.
