DECISION ON PARTIAL SUSPENSION OF CONSTITUTION STILL PENDING – NO TIMELINE AVAILABLE

No timeline has been given by the United Kingdom Government on when a decision will be made with regards to the overarching Commission of Inquiry (COI) Report recommendation of a partial suspension of the territory’s Constitution.

Governor His Excellency John Rankin made the disclosure during an exclusive interview with 284Media.

He said the decision is one that takes into account a number of factors and must not be rushed.

Until the decision is made, Governor Rankin said he will be working with the National Unity Government to implement some of the other recommendations from the COI Report.
