Her Excellency, Dr. the Honourable June Soomer, Chair of The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus Council will be participating in The UWI Open Campus British Virgin Islands (BVI) Graduate Recognition Ceremony slated for Wednesday, November 2, 2022. The Ceremony, scheduled for 4:00 p.m., at the UWI Open Campus Site in Paraquita Bay, is in celebration of the BVI members of The University’s Class of 2022.
The eight (8) UWI Open Campus Graduates were conferred with their degrees during the recent Virtual Graduation Ceremony on October 15, 2022. Akaelia Smikle was awarded the Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies, while Kimana Walsh, Destiny Durante, Lauralee Laurent, Sidonia Stewart-Stone and Layota Winter were awarded Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting, Psychology, Human Resource Management, Political Science, Banking and Finance and Educational Leadership and Management, respectively. Nadira Singh received the Master of Science in Management/Marketing and Shanda Chalwell-Walters was awarded the Master of Science in Education Leadership.
Ambassador Soomer, who is currently in the BVI on other official business, will deliver the Keynote Address and present the Graduates with their degree certificates.
