The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force on Friday November 25th, 2022 formally charged Alixson Auguiste of Sea Cows Bay with causing death by dangerous driving in the traffic fatality on Waterfront Drive that claimed the life of a woman in May of this year.
The deceased, Sophia Wilson, a native of Jamaica, was struck by the vehicle driven by Auguiste while she walked east on the sidewalk near the Dr. D.O. Smith Hospital. She was taken to hospital and later transferred overseas for medical care but later succumbed to her injuries.
Auguiste was granted bail in the sum of $25,000 with one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Count on 23 February 2023.
