Social Commentator and talk show host Claude Skelton Cline has shared what he believes the people of the Virgin Islands will be looking for as they inevitably take to the poles within the next 4 months. According to Cline, he sees it that the electorate will be looking to restore what has been lost in the Territory – people’s trust and confidence in leadership.
This loss of confidence he attributed to a variety of factors, including the people’s own doing and outside forces. He also highlighted the arrest of Premier Andrew Fahie as the event that compounded already existing frustrations with leadership in the Territory.
As he has done on numerous occasions, Cline reiterated his belief that the existing situation speaks to the need for female leadership in the Territory.
