In recent weeks, officials from the Ministry of Health and Social Development met with the Recovery and Development Agency to commence the process of implementing the Waste Management Strategy intended to resolve issues surrounding the incinerator and dumpsite at Pockwood Pond, Tortola.
Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Marlon Penn revealed this during a recent interview with Tola Radio.
Penn stressed that in addition to these efforts to remedy waste management, there needs to be a shift at the individual level of Virgin Islanders to manage their own waste disposal.
