RVIPF RENEW APPEAL ON ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE MURDER OF LE’SHAUGNH SMITH

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is making a renewed appeal to residents to assist with identifying anyone who was involved in the murder of Le’ Shaugnh Smith.

The appeal comes on the one-year anniversary of Smith’s murder which occurred on February 24, 2022.

According to initial investigations by the police, Smith was reportedly outside his business place, Big Ballers Jeep and Car Rental, in Huntums Ghut around 10:00 p.m. where he fatally shot.

“A masked male as well as several other persons were seen in the area at the time of the shooting. Police are appealing to anyone who may have information, no matter how insignificant, which can assist in the apprehension and conviction of those responsible,” the RVIPF stated.

To date, no one has been charged for Smith’s murder.

To assist the RVIPF, persons are being urged to call the Crime Stoppers confidential line at 1-284-800-8477 with information about any of the recent shootings or illegal firearms in the territory.
