The BVI Football Association Women’s Committee has honoured Cassandra “Coach Cass” Gregg for her 30 years of unwavering commitment and dedication to the empowering and developing of football in the British Virgin Islands.
Coach Cass was presented with a banner and plaque honouring her work during the Women’s Football Festival on Saturday February 25th.
Our team was on the ground and captured those moments.
After the presentation she told our team that she was taken by total surprise and is grateful to be recognized by her peers.
On the heels of this milestone, Coach Cass says she is eyeing great things for women’s football including seeing through her growing team in regional tournaments by next year.
Coach Cass says she does not believe that the women’s team will be limited at all in what is stereotyped as a “male dominated sport”, as women continue to excel across the board even surpassing their male counterparts.
