“I FEEL VINDICATED” – PENN LAUDS WOMEN’S FOOTBALL AT GREENLAND STADIUM

Minister for Health and Social Development, Representative for the 8th District Honourable Marlon Penn says he feels vindicated that activities such as the Women’s Football Festival can be held in his community, and further at the Greenland Stadium.

As he applauded the BVI Football Association Women’s Committee for hosting the event he reflected on the level of activity possible at the facility, and the opposition that plans for its placement were initially met with.

During a recent interview Penn spoke on the importance of helping young people understand the value of an honest living and honest work. These are values that he, as a former athlete himself, believes that sport helps to instil in young people.

Penn has encouraged members of the public to take on these opportunities and to encourage young people to start to practise a healthy lifestyle, particularly as lifestyle diseases continue to be a number 1 killer across societies.
