MORTON WINS FIRST MEDAL FOR THE BVI AT CARIFTA – JACKSON ON TO THE 100M SEMIS

Jah’Kyla Morton copped the British Virgin Islands’ first medal of the 50th CARIFTA Games in the Bahamas.

Competing in the Under 17 Girls High Jump event, Morton managed to secure a second-place finish to win a silver medal.

Also performing on day one of the three-day championship was J’Den Jackson, who advanced to the semi-finals of the Boys’ 100-meter event after finishing second with a time of 11.13 seconds.
