MORGAN & JAMES CHARGED IN TUESDAY’S DRUG BUST – OVER 500 KILOS OF SUSPECTED COCAINE SEIZED

The two men arrested in relation to Tuesday morning’s drug bust which ended on Beef Island have been identified as Vibert Morgan and Okello James.

The two men who are both 34-years-old and from Belle Vue, Tortola, were charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply to another, and unlawful possession of a controlled drug.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) the drugs which they suspect to be cocaine have a total weight exceeding 500 kilos.

The drugs were seized along with a speed boat during the joint operation which involved United States Federal agents and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force.

The police also revealed that additional charges are pending for both Morgan and James who are set to appear before the Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.
