AZIM YONNAS SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES AFTER LONG BUSH SHOOTING

26-year-old Azim Yonnas is dead following a shooting incident that left him nursing wounds at the Dr. D Orlando Smith Hospital on Sunday, September 3rd.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confirmed Yonnas’ identity in a press release this afternoon.

“The RVIPF is actively conducting investigations into last
night’s shooting at Long Bush, which claimed the life of one male.
The deceased is confirmed to be 26-year-old Azim Yonnas of Butu
Mountain”, the release said.

According to the police, he was shot by an unknown assailant(s) who then ran away from the scene.

Yonnas’ was successfully transported to the hospital following the incident, where he died from his injuries.

The Major Incident Team of the RVIPF is investigating the matter.
