MISSING BRAZILIAN NATIONALS SAY THEY ARE SAFE IN ST. MAARTEN

The missing Brazilians who were labeled as ‘At-Large’ by immigration officials after they off boarded a cruise ship in the BVI on January 6th but did not return have stated that they are safe and in St. Marteen.

On Sunday January 7th, an official flyer with the photos of Ms. Ana Carolina Thomas and Mr. Diego Cabral circulated with residents immediately being on alert. A number of persons throughout the territory paid keen attention to Ms. Thomas Instagram page where the two were shown at the baths Virgin Gorda.

Late last evening Ms. Thomas commented on 284media page with the following message, “Hello. Thank you all for the concern. We are fine. Had some healthy trouble in the cruise and stayed in BVI. Today we took the flight to St Marteen – SXM and will continue our trip. Big hug to all of you. Loved the island.”

Since the release, no updated statement has been released by the Immigration Department, Royal Virgin Islands Police or the Government Information Services Unit which issued the initial alert.
