The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission proudly announces the debut of a brand new, 3-day music festival titled, Virgin Islands Music Festival. This major music event will take place over the US Memorial Day Weekend, from 24th to 26th May 2024.
MEET THE PEFORMERS
ROTIMI is a Nigerian-American actor and singer. Although well known for his acting, with roles in the Starz series Boss (as Darius Morrison) and Power (as Andre Coleman), Rotimi is equally a musical phenom. He performs a musical fusion of contemporary R&B, traditional Afrobeat and dancehall. A protégé of recording giants JAY-Z and 50 Cent, he has performed alongside artists like Jennifer Hudson, T.I., and Estelle. His debut EP, Jeep Music Vol. 1, showcased his soulful melodies and vibrant rhythms.
VOICE is an award-winning international soca artist known for his powerful, soulful voice, positive messages, and electrifying performances. But it is his unique blend of soca, R&B, and reggae which distinguishes him from other soca artists. These enviable attributes have combined to make him an international sensation and crowd favorite. ALKALINE: Alkaline, is an international dancehall/reggae recording artist known for his hardcore rhymes, killer hooks, and high-energy performances. His 2016 debut album New Level Unlocked went on to peak at #1 om the Billboard Reggae Charts for 18 weeks.
FREDDIE JACKSON is a legendary R&B recording artist who ruled the airwaves in the late eighties and early nineties. From 1985 to 1992, Freddie scored a prolific 19 Top 10 singles including 10 No. 1 hits on the R&B charts, with classic hits like “Rock Me Tonight” and “You Are My Lady”.
VIBE, which stands for Virgin Islands Based Entertainment, is an international soca band that is a musical powerhouse rocking stage shows and street parades throughout the Virgin Islands as well as regional and international venues. They are known for their catchy lyrics and energetic, mesmerizing performances.
