JEANETTE SCATLIFFE-BOYNES TO RETIRE AFTER 33 YRS. OF SERVICE

In a recent Facebook Post, Director of the Social Security Board of the Virgin Islands announced her retirement as of July 2nd, 2024. Mrs. Jeannette Scatliffe-Boynes has served as the Director of the Social Security Board for the past 3 years, and Deputy Director for 30 yrs.  

In chronicling her journey, an eager Scatliffe-Boynes said, “I am looking forward to surviving the clock. After working as, a part time receptionist at Frenchman’s Reef Hotel, St. Thomas, while attending UVI, 13 years in numerous departments at the Bank of Montreal, New York, 30 years as Deputy Director and 3 years as Director of the BVI Social Security Board, plus all those times working at Scato’s while going to school- I deserve to clock out with excitement.”

The soon to be 67yr old Scatliffe-Boyne’s shared why July 2nd is so special to her. She said, “So, with much excitement my retirement date is 2nd July 2024. 2nd July 2024 will be 33 years since I started working at SSB, it will be SSB’s 44th Anniversary, my 67th birthday, and now my retirement day. Full circle! To God be the glory.”

Mrs. Scatliffe-Boynes replaced Ms. Antoinette Skelton, the second Director after her retirement.
