MATHER URGES PREMIER TO GET HELP WITH THE BVI’S FINANCES

Territorial At-Large Representative Hon. Stacey Mather during the debate session of the most recent budget address by the premier of the Virgin Islands spoke about the lack of fiscal planning taking place under the Wheatley lead administration.

Mather said the government has money, yet seems to be wanting to save it instead of using it for the good of the country. He also begged the premier to get help with the finances.

Mather also spoke about the struggle of small business in the Virgin Island and urged the government to speak and interact with business to under their plight.

He also bemoaned the lack of a tourism plan by the premier in order to see an increase in overnight visitors and increase revenue from the tourism product.
