WILLARD WHEATLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL CLOSED FOR THE DAY DUE TO POWER OUTAGE

Parents and guardians of Willard Wheatley Primary School (WWPS) students were informed early Wednesday morning that there would be no classes today due to a power outage caused by an incident near the school. The outage is the result of three electrical poles needing to be replanted, and authorities have indicated that the work will take the entire day to complete.

In a notice sent to parents, the school asked that students be picked up by 10:00 AM. “We are asking parents to return to collect students. All students should be off campus no later than 10am,” the notice stated. The school expressed regret over the disruption but emphasized that the situation was beyond their control.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience,” the notice continued. “Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”

As of now, the school will resume normal operations once power is fully restored.
