On Tuesday, May 20th, First District Representative, Honourable Dr. Karl Dawson, and his committee will officially launch a new community-focused initiative: a three-part workshop series titled “Your Future, Your Plan: Building the Life You Want.” Designed primarily for younger individuals at key decision-making stages in life, the series is open to all members of the public who wish to make informed, impactful life choices.
The first workshop in the series, “Planning for Your Home,” will take place on Tuesday, May 20th from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the West End Community Centre. Attendees will benefit from practical guidance on topics such as buying versus building a home, choosing architects or contractors, managing construction relationships, and making wise project financing decisions. The session will include a refreshment break.
Several experienced professionals from the First District in fields related to housing, construction, banking and real estate will serve as facilitators and resource persons, offering valuable insights and real-world advice.
The series will continue with two more workshops:
• Planning for Your Finances – June 2025
• Planning for Your Health – July 2025
