Olympia Fahie, Women’s National Time Trial Champion, shared her admiration for the junior division: “A special congratulations to the two juniors who raced, it was beautiful to witness their determination and spirit.”
In an official statement following the event, BVI Cycling Federation President Darrel Christopher Sr. commended all the athletes who competed and acknowledged the unique challenges of hosting cycling events on public roads in the territory.
“These events are difficult to host in the BVI,” he said. “We can’t close the roads, and the conditions aren’t the best but the riders still came out and did a fantastic job.” President Christopher also recognized Mrs. Randapool, who served as the Federation’s Safety Officer for the event, and extended thanks to the volunteers and supporters who continue to dedicate their time to the development of local cycling.
