The influx of the sargassum seaweed is directly related to climate change and Environmental Officials want to ensure all the factors related to this global phenomenon are factored into the Road Town Development partnership.
Wednesday marked the first town hall meeting dedicated to the Project.
The meeting brought together members of the business community, Government officials and residents to discuss the future of Road Town.
Presentations outlined plans for development and the public was given the opportunity to share their input and ideas.
Environment Officer and member of the Climate Change Trust Fund Board Angela Burnett Penn spoke about the Fund and how it would be used in this project.

Burnett Penn further emphasized about the monies which come into the Trust Fund to support the work under the Road Town partnership, and how it would be utilized.
