The eligibility criteria for the Public Assistance programme has been extended.
This came about as different categories for eligibility have been added under the Public Assistance Act.
During the Virgin Islands Voice Programme last week, Minister for Health and Social Development Vincent Wheatley said the act, though amended last year, was not brought into force because of regulations which had to be done.
And Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Tasha Bertie further outlines the categories of eligible persons.
