On Monday August 26th, 2025 educators from across the Virgin Islands gathered for the official opening ceremony of the 2025 Academic School year and professional development week. Held at the Multi-Purpose sports complex, the ceremony included interactive games and presentations from education officials. Chief Education Officer Mrs. Orlandette Crab addressed the gathering welcoming teachers to another exciting year of contributing to the territory through the education of young minds.
CEO Crabbe also acknowledged the hard work of educators and provided academic results from across the territory, celebrating the success of the territory’s students.
Minister for Education Hon. Sharie DeCastro also delivered remarks and spoke on the progress made within education over the years.
