Motorists are being advised to expect delays and temporary closures in Hutum’s Ghut and Sea Cow’s Bay as drainage and road improvement works get underway.
Road users in parts of Tortola are being advised to expect temporary closures as remedial works get underway.
Minister of Communications and Works Kye Rymer announced that drainage improvement works began on August 27 in Hutum’s Ghut to address long-standing drainage concerns in the area.

The project will require sections of the roadway to be closed while the works are carried out.

In the meantime, motorists in Sea Cow’s Bay should also prepare for daily road closures on Elevator Hill road. That stretch of roadway will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day until September 3 to facilitate ongoing works

Rymer said the projects are part of the ministry’s continued effort to improve infrastructure and ensure safer, more resilient roadways across the territory.
