Hairstylist Felicia Tonge of Evolution Salon is looking to give back to the community.
To this end, Tonge has teamed up with other hairdressers and barbers to offer free braids and Cuts for a fresh start this new school year.
The event dubbed Books, brains, braids, and fades takes place this weekend Saturday and Sunday at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex from 8am to 5pm on both days.
During an interview on ZBVI, Tonge said the event is free and open to all students in the territory.
Tonge says this is a community effort as several sponsors have come on board for the event.
She says they are also making the activity worthwhile for the parents.
