Film Commissioner of the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board and Film Commission (BVITBFC), Natalie Hodge sat down with 284 Media this week to share exciting details about the inaugural 284 Excellence Film Festival (284XFF) a cultural event set to premiere in the British Virgin Islands from October 30 to November 2, 2025.
With the theme “Uniting Creative Voices, Celebrating Caribbean Stories,” the 284 Excellence Film Festival is poised to transform the territory into a vibrant hub of cinematic storytelling rooted in Caribbean heritage.

As for the categories Hodge explains that there is a vast range for creatives to choose from.

The festival will span four days with each day having a specific set of activities and aims, at the end the winners will be rewarded.

The 284XFF will serve as a global platform for cinematic excellence with a distinctly Caribbean soul. It aims to connect filmmakers, writers, creatives, and audiences in a shared space of storytelling, innovation, and cultural pride.
